#ChikkanessEats Kinilaw Na Tanigue of The Brickyard MNL

#ChikkanessEats kinilaw na tanigue #foodporn A post shared by Albert Bryan aka GIRL (@chikkanessave) on Jan 22, 2016 at 4:41am PST When my family is out for a beach getaway, one of the viands that I love being served is "kinilaw na tanigue." For someone who has been living in the metro for a decade already, I really miss those times where I can just have a grand time with the family while enjoying a great food. Kinilaw na Tanigue is a Filipino dish wherein Wahoo fish fillet is cut into cubes and submerged in a mixture of calamansi juice, fresh ginger, onion, chili, cucumber, and seasonings. I checked out the said dish at The Brickyard which is located at Eugenio Lopez Drive, Quezon City. It was a right mix of fresh ingredients that I was able to consume a plate of that alone. It was just a perfect partner for my Tanduay Ice. The ingredients were well blended with the flavor fully absorbed in the fish cubes. After consuming it, I was craving to ea

Urged to abandon the only home he’s ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (voice of Ben Kingsley), and the free-spirited bear Baloo (voice of Bill

[He's definitely one versatile artist to watch out for. His self-titled album is very promising and I like his carrier single "Ipapadama Na Lang."] As Matteo described it, Tupang Ligaw is a physical film. He even cited a fight scene with Paolo that lasted for 20 minutes that got them some bruises the next day. "All the action sequences, all the training is coming from

“ Cassie Sullivan is a great heroine – but she’d never describe herself that way. She’d say she’s just a girl who has lost her brother, and will do whatever it takes to get back to him,” says Chloë Grace Moretz, who takes on the lead role of Cassie in Columbia Pictures’ adaptation of Rick Yancey’s bestselling novel “The 5th Wave,” the first book in his planned trilogy. In the film, four waves of increasingly deadly attacks have left most of Earth decimated. Against a backdrop of fear and distrust, Cassie is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother. As she prepares for the inevitable and lethal 5th wave, Cassie teams up with a young man who may become her final hope – if she can only trust him. For the filmmakers, Moretz combined the right combination of talents and traits: she is a seasoned performer (especially needed if the character would be appearing in multiple films), but, like her character, is herself just coming of age. The result was a perfect fit of

Young British actor Alex Roe stars as the conflicted Evan Walker in the hotly anticipated sci-fi adventure-drama “The 5th Wave” opposite Chloe Grace Moretz. The film is an adaptation of Rick Yancey’s hit novel, published in 2013. It focuses on a young girl, Cassie Sullivan, played by Moretz, who is bidding to survive in a world that has been decimated by four waves — huge, earth-shattering events, from tidal waves to pestilence — which are unleashed upon the planet by some unknown force. The likes of Nick Robinson (playing Ben Parish) and Liev Schreiber (Colonel Vosch) also star. The story tells how in the midst of the wreckage, as one of earth’s last survivors, Cassie must fight to save herself, and her brother, as the fifth wave looms. She teams up with Evan, who may be her final hope, if she can learn to trust him. Trust, says Roe, is one of the key themes in the film. “Evan is definitely conflicted. He’s a real contradiction,” says the actor. “All of us are contrad

In response to deafening clarmor from fans, Lucasfilm's "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will return to regular Philippine cinemas on  Friday, Jan. 8 . “The Force Awakens” has been showered universal praise, even garnerning a Best Picture nomination from America's Broadcast Film Critics Association. It has shattered box office records since it hit theaters worldwide in mid-December. Most recently, the seventh film in the Star Wars saga blew past the domestic grosses of both “Jurassic World” ($652.3 million) and “Titanic” ($658.7 million) to become the second-highest earner of all time with $740.3 million in just 19 days of release. Just a week ago, Disney announced that “The Force Awakens” had become the studio's highest grossing film of all time in terms of domestic box office, surpassing Marvel superhero film "The Avengers" from 2012. The meteoric rise of “The Force Awakens” is particularly notable, given that it took the film only 13 d

Before George Clooney appears on the big screen in his upcoming films -- the Coen Brothers’ “Hail, Caesar!” (set for release in February 2016) and “Money Monster” from director Jodie Foster (April 2016) -- his presence will first be felt as the producer of “Our Brand is Crisis” starring Sandra Bullock. The gripping political satire opens across the Philippines on  Jan. 13, 2016 . “Our Brand is Crisis” takes a timely and satirical look at the high-stakes gamesmanship behind the scenes of a presidential campaign, seen through the eyes and actions of the strategists-for-hire who are pulling the strings. Bringing audiences into the belly of the beast with a fictional story as relevant as today’s news cycle, it explores the often outrageous and unconscionable lengths to which some people will go in their competitive zeal to get the job done and cross the finish line ahead of the other guy. "We weren't really looking into it as being a political statement," assures
