“All of these achievements are unexpected for me and my family. That's why I'm very blessed with everything that’s happening now and with what I’ll still achieve in the future. I hope ‘Ako Naman Muna’ was able to bring inspiration and hope because that’s my purpose,” Angela said.

The first week of the song’s release already marked several laudable feats as its official lyric video visualizer racked up one million Facebook views and 500,000 YouTube views, and over 200,000 Spotify streams, on top of being featured in multiple Spotify playlists such as “Hot Hits Philippines,” “Trending Tracks,” and “OPM Rising.” Apple Music also listed the song in its “Absolute OPM” collection.

These notable milestones peaked further at present as the song’s official lyric video visualizer has already reached 2.5 million YouTube views and more than 3 million Spotify streams. Angela was also featured as the cover of one of the biggest local Spotify editorial playlists “Tatak Pinoy” and the song was likewise included in another playlist, “Pinoy Indie Mix.”

Meanwhile, Angela dropped the “Ako Naman Muna” official music video last Sunday (April 4) on Star Music’s YouTube channel, serving as a charming representation of the song’s self-love message.

The song is also currently being heard in the ABS-CBN inspirational series "Huwag Kang Mangamba" as part of its official soundtrack.

Prior to her unprecedented success with the track, the young singer-songwriter initially gained prominence by posting its unfinished version on TikTok in November 2020, which went viral and led to ABS-CBN Music creative director Jonathan Manalo’s discovery of her.

Last March, Angela officially signed a recording deal with Star Music and a management contract with Star Magic, and was likewise introduced as one of the members of the talent management’s latest teen barkada called “Squad+.”
