According to the anchors, mounting their own shows on kumu, a platform that is unique and different from what they were used to, has been both challenging and rewarding. “Challenging kung paano mo makukuha ang attention ng mga Kumunizens, kung paano mo sila mapapasali sa usapan at mapapanood hanggang matapos ang show,” shared Coach Harris.

Stargazer, meanwhile, cited the fast pacing and interactive format that is the norm on kumu. “Dito nasusubok ang bilis namin mag isip, kailangan maging fluid o tuloy tuloy.  Natuto din kami maging mas maging interactive sa mga tao,” she said.

But on the flip side, they also cherish the new opportunity to serve Filipinos here and abroad. “Napaka-rewarding din na tanggapin ng audience ang programa sa pagkakaroon ng malaking bilang na viewers at pagtanggap ng mga virtual gifts bilang tanda ng appreciation ng audience sa programa,” said Ahwel, whose show “Kumu Star Ka” also airs every Sunday on TeleRadyo at 3pm and on Jeepney TV at 3:30 pm.

As they continue to adapt to their new platform, the anchors remain committed to infuse the TeleRadyo and ABS-CBN brand of public service in their programs.

“I believe thru kumu we are able to continue our battle cry of being Una sa Balita at Public service by incorporating our info dissemination on various topics ,” explained May.
