 Food, living, and travel shows to premiere this January 2021


More viewers will enjoy top-tier food, travel, home, living, fashion, style and other lifestyle content as Cignal subscribers can now watch Metro Channel via Cignal channel 69, ushering in a numerous lineup of foreign and local programs to kick start 2021.


One of the premier lifestyle channel’s exciting offerings is “Show Me The Market” with Joel Binamira and Chef JP Anglo, which premiered last Sunday, explores different places and cultures through different cuisines and markets.


Another show to catch is “Booze Traveller” season 3 which is perfect for those who still have hangovers from the holiday festivities. In this series, which premieres 9pm this Saturday (January 9), Jack Maxwell travels the world in search of the most interesting drinks.


For those who want a peek into beautiful, elegant and historic homes, “Phil Spencer's Stately Homes” is the perfect dwelling for your visual entertainment. Join the UK property expert as he visits the nation’s stately homes beginning this Saturday (January 9) at 11pm.


Meanwhile, food lovers will be thrilled to journey with English celebrity chef Rick Stein 10am on January 23 (Saturday) in “Rick Stein's Road To Mexico” as he rediscovers Mexico City—a splendid melting pot of cuisines—50 years after his first visit.


New episodes of “Casa Daza” with Filipino chef and restaurateur Chef Sandy Daza will also premiere this month as it features easy-to-cook home recipes.


Other shows to watch out for are “Jamie Cooks Italy” premiering at 10pm this Saturday (January 9), “Giada At Home” at 7pm on January 17 (Sunday), “FoodPrints” season 7 at 12nn on January 23 (Saturday), and “Pia’s Postcards” season 1 at 3:30pm on January 30 (Saturday).

Universal Pictures has just revealed the first trailer and poster of the highly anticipated action-thriller “Jason Bourne” marking the return of Matt Damon to his most iconic role.  Paul Greengrass, the director of “The Bourne Supremacy” and “The Bourne Ultimatum,” once again joins Damon for the next chapter of Universal Pictures’ Bourne franchise, which finds the CIA’s most lethal former operative drawn out of the shadows. For “Jason Bourne,” Damon is joined by Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Tommy Lee Jones, while Julia Stiles reprises her role in the series. Frank Marshall again produces alongside Jeffrey Weiner for Captivate Entertainment, and Greengrass, Damon, Gregory Goodman and Ben Smith also produce. Based on characters created by Robert Ludlum, the film is written by Greengrass and Christopher Rouse. Opening across the Philippines on  July 27, 2016 , “Jason Bourne” is distributed by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.

Smart assembles top gamers Alodia, Christine, Dexie, and Nix for star-studded GIGA Arena video

Mobile services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) has pulled off an ambitious crossover moment as it brought together top gaming celebrities for a star-studded video for GIGA Arena, the first all-in-one esports platform for Filipino mobile gamers.   The one-minute video features Alodia Gosiengfiao, Dexie Diaz, Christine Samson and Nix Gaming, who are among the most prominent Filipino streamers today.   Alodia rose to international fame for her elaborate cosplays and streaming, and is now the co-founder of Tier One Entertainment, which aims to revolutionize the esports landscape in the country.
