Five holiday shopping tips in the New Normal!

This pandemic has significantly changed our shopping habits with less visits to the malls and more visits to our favorite sites for online shopping. In a way, it has also made us more mindful about our savings, as nothing is promised – including our health and our jobs.

However, this doesn’t mean that we have to skip purchasing thoughtful gifts for our loved ones that could help lift up their spirits especially this Holiday season. And as you try and find the perfect gift for your friends and family, here are five holiday shopping tips that you can take note of, especially in the new normal.

1. Plan out your visit and make a list of the items that you need to buy. Visit the mall during its non-peak hours (1pm-4pm) to avoid lesser social interaction and strengthen social distancing.

2. Armor yourself with the new necessities - face mask, face shield, alcohol and disinfectant spray.

3. If it's available online, try purchasing it from there rather than going to the physical stores. Users can get up to 100% Balik Bayad of up to P500 when they use their PayMaya mobile number to pay for their purchases online. They can enjoy this perk with a maximum Balik Bayad of P1,000 a month, until January 31. Minimum purchase for this is P500.

4.  Keep your patience at its highest level as long lines in the cashier or even at the changing rooms is expected.

5. If you’re planning to shop in-stores, go for contactless payments to lessen the risk of transmission. Personally, I like using PayMaya QR because it is safe, convenient, and you get to earn cashbacks for your every purchase.

You can get 1%, 10%, or 100% Balik Bayad of up to P500 when you pay via PayMaya QR at your favorite merchants. No minimum spend. You can even take advantage of this on top of these promos:

Take home one of the 100 motorcycles being given away when you #ScanToPay at least P1,500 at The SM Store until January 15, 2021.

Get an instant P200 cashback when you spend an accumulated amount of P2,000 PLUS a chance to win P10,000 when you #ScanToPay at least P500 using PayMaya QR at participating merchants in Megaworld Lifestyle Malls until January 10, 2021.

You can enjoy the P200 cashback reward twice during the promo period, for a total of P400 savings!

Get a chance to win up to P250,000 when you #ScanToPay via PayMaya QR at any partner merchant at the Power Plant Mall using The Rockwellist Mobile App. Just spend at least P2,000 to get a rafflle entry from December 1, 2020 to January 17, 2021.

Also, everytime you #ScanToPay via PayMaya QR, Pay with your PayMaya mobile number online, or purchase items at the PayMaya in-app shop, you get to earn a raffle entry at PayMayas PayMayaguinaldo raffle promo for a chance to win up to P1,000,000 until January 10, 2021!

PayMaya is available for download on Google Play, the Apple App Store, or the Huawei AppGallery using this link
