Few more days to go and we will be celebrating the New Year already and I'm still daydreaming on things I wish I could buy for myself and my loved ones.  If I get   lucky this holiday season, I might just wake up with a message in my inbox saying I won P1,000,000 at PayMaya‘s PayMayaguinaldo promo. Furniture and appliances to complement my home.   Since we’re mostly spending time at home lately, I would love to redecorate my place. I’ll most probably shop at stores like The SM Store or AllHomes where I can pay via PayMaya QR to take advantage of good deals on top of up to 100% cashback!   2. G rocery items to be donated to those affected by recent calamities.   I wanted to share the feeling of being surprised with bountiful blessings. I would love to join and witness them doing grocery shopping. And with PayMaya, I'm sure it will be a qui

Movie Review: "THE MISSING"

"The Missing" has the elements of a slow-build tension that popular Japanese horror movies along with its scary characters in white with black spots on the face are known for. The Pinoy horror experience is still there with the shocker scenes that we love from Regal Entertainment's scary movies. The psychological torment and dread is also present which the actors have displayed nicely in the film. Ritz Azul has been consistent throughout the film that she sincerely knows the direction of her character. I applaud her performance in the bridge when she found out what happened to her sibling. She shared good chemistry with Joseph Marco who somehow made me confuse whether he's an ally or not to Ritz' character. Nice choices of nuances. Miles was a dependable support with a remarkable scene in the basement (must watch!)  There are a lot of jumpscares but the build up towards the ending along with its good cinematography made the experience more gruesome. Director Easy

Maris, Sanya, and Zanjoe on what they look forward to beyond the "Bahaghari"

Another MMFF 2020 film entry that I look forward to watch is Joel Lamangan's "Isa Pang Bahaghari." Not solely because I can relate to it but the ensemble of actors cast in the film excites me and can't wait how they will display their acting powers collaboratively. I got the chance to have a chat with the stars of the film Maris Racal, Sanya Lopez and Zanjoe Marudo. They shared to me their experience and how grateful they are that they got the chance to act alongside with veteran actors Philip Salvador, Michael de Mesa and Ms Nora Aunor. Like Ms Nora, Maris wishes to have iconic movies that will really prove her acting capabilities. She can see herself as an actress as her lifetime career already. By portraying the young Nora, she sought the help of director Joel and studied her past movies as to how she delivered her lines. It's of great help though that her character is part of the past and that it's not yet scarred but tamed. Sanya, exhibited a daring scene

Three Aguinaldo hacks for Ninongs and Ninangs

By now, I’m sure most of you are already feel the holiday stress thinking of ways on how you can bring a merrier Christmas for your inaanaks while staying at the safety of your homes. Gift giving is definitely more challenging these days, but with the help of handy digital services, there’s always a way to put a smile on your inaanak’s face this holiday season.   Let me share to you some aguinaldo hacks that you can still apply to your own gift giving this holiday season: 1.  Personalize gifts by putting on some of “uniquely you” elements in the packaging.   This can be done by wrapping your gift with a scarf, spraying the box with your personal scent or simply including a thoughtful note on you gift! 2.  Bake or cook for them.   I’m sure your inaanaks miss the food that you always prepare every time they visit you for Christmas gatherings. So why not send them your specialty ulam or dessert as a simple gift? Nothing beats a homecooked meal especially made for your loved ones. Apart fr

Here are some awesome party ideas for your virtual celebration

If there’s one thing I really look forward to during the Holiday season, it’s the Holiday get-togethers where I could dress up to the nines and enjoy a fun night with my friends. Unfortunately, we’re confronted with a not so appealing idea that such parties are banned for now (for our safety, of course) and that we can only meet with our friends virtually.   I’m not new into attending virtual parties courtesy of the PRs and brands that invited me. I enjoy decorating my background   and dressing up based on party themes. I also love the party booze that they’re sending at home to level up the party experience. If you’re tired with the standard virtual party set-ups, maybe you can check out some ideas I came up based on the experiences I had. 1. Arrange more than one virtual party rooms. Give them problems with clues to solve that will lead them to the meeting passcode to which the type of party room they will be able to attend. After an hour, you can have them switch places from the o

Movie Review: "The Boy Foretold by the Stars"

When Director Dolly Dulu shared that his first exposure to a BL content was "Love of Siam" and that his film "The Boy Foretold By The Stars" was inspired from that, it somehow validated the experience I had after watching the film. The experience is familiar that it hits home. I felt that the storyline was cliche but how the experience was structured and the noteworthy performances of the lead stars made the film a pleasure to watch. It brought me to happy tears because of the "kilig" scenes that just naturally unfurled within me. I found the scoring impressive that it helped me more glued to the teenage romance unfolding in front of my eyes.  The film is about an all out gay high school student Dominic (Adrian Lindayag who's on his early 20s) who unexpectedly fell in love to a campus jock Luke (Keann Johnson). They had several unnoticed encounters but destiny paved a way for them to get to know better on a weekend retreat. Dominic looked for the man h
