SKY BRINGS IN THE LATEST LIVE AND E-SPORTS THIS JULY


Heart-pounding shows await SKY subscribers who missed all the action during quarantine with the return of live and e-sports this July.

Mix martial arts and boxing fans are in for a treat as UFC brings back its live matches.  Watch Out for UFC Fight Night on July 19 and 26 8AM only on Fox Sports.

Car racing also makes a comeback this July with Formula 1 returning. Catch the different legs in Hungary (July 19), and United Kingdom (Aug. 2), all on Fox Sports.


Apart from Formula 1, North America's open-wheel racing league, Indycar Series will have its seventh annual GMR Grand Prix this month. Don’t miss the action on Tap Edge.

The obstacle course competition series "American Ninja Warrior" is back every Wednesday this month, this time featuring different people who come from different backgrounds. They get to take on the challenge for a chance to compete and move to the final round in Las Vegas and win $500,000. Catch it on AXN at 7:55pm.

Meanwhile, its British counterpart "Ninja Warrior UK," is set to challenge 250 contestants in tackling a variety of obstacles along an assault course. Who gets to finish it in the fastest time or go the furthest qualifies for the final round. Watch it on Blue Ant Extreme, Mondays, 9:55 PM.

Hosted by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, "The Titan Games," returns for another season. Witness how he challenges top athletes and Olympic gold medalists including two-time Olympic gold medal-winning and current undisputed boxing world champion Claressa Shields and many more. See how the professionals will face the odds to win the Titan title on Fox every Tuesday, 9 PM.

Aside from individual competitions,  "Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge," a group competition which invites a group of normal people to race across Spartan courses that were engineered to test their determination, endurance, will also air on Blue Ant Extreme every Sundays, 9:55 PM.  See which group will reign supreme over the most demanding courses ever devised and will have to push through the pain to win $250,000.

MATT DAMON'S “JASON BOURNE” REVEALS FIRST TRAILER, POSTER

Universal Pictures has just revealed the first trailer and poster of the highly anticipated action-thriller “Jason Bourne” marking the return of Matt Damon to his most iconic role.  Paul Greengrass, the director of “The Bourne Supremacy” and “The Bourne Ultimatum,” once again joins Damon for the next chapter of Universal Pictures’ Bourne franchise, which finds the CIA’s most lethal former operative drawn out of the shadows. For “Jason Bourne,” Damon is joined by Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Tommy Lee Jones, while Julia Stiles reprises her role in the series. Frank Marshall again produces alongside Jeffrey Weiner for Captivate Entertainment, and Greengrass, Damon, Gregory Goodman and Ben Smith also produce. Based on characters created by Robert Ludlum, the film is written by Greengrass and Christopher Rouse. Opening across the Philippines on  July 27, 2016 , “Jason Bourne” is distributed by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.

Smart assembles top gamers Alodia, Christine, Dexie, and Nix for star-studded GIGA Arena video

Mobile services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) has pulled off an ambitious crossover moment as it brought together top gaming celebrities for a star-studded video for GIGA Arena, the first all-in-one esports platform for Filipino mobile gamers.   The one-minute video features Alodia Gosiengfiao, Dexie Diaz, Christine Samson and Nix Gaming, who are among the most prominent Filipino streamers today.   Alodia rose to international fame for her elaborate cosplays and streaming, and is now the co-founder of Tier One Entertainment, which aims to revolutionize the esports landscape in the country. Like Alodia, Christine Samson is both a cosplayer and streamer, and dabbles into commercial modelling and a TV hosting. On the other hand, both Dexie Diaz and Nix are among the country's top Mobile Legends streamers today with 6.6 million and 4 million Facebook followers, respectively.
