Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Ruru Madrid Star In An Unforgettable Story of CARA X JAGGER

Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Ruru Madrid collaborate for the very first time in their very first mainstream movie in APT Entertainment's and Cignal Entertainment's upcoming romantic drama Cara X Jagger.

Directed by Ice Idanan and with an original story by Acy Ramos with a screenplay which she co-wrote With Glaiza Ramirez, Cara X Jagger is an unforgettable love story centered around former couple Cara (Curtis) and Jagger (Madrid) who are facing a major conflict that will test the endurance of their relationship. Cara is doing everything in her power to forget a painful event that ruined her relationship with Jagger while Jagger is fighting to remember his life after losing his memory because of a terrible accident.

An award-winning actress and one of today's top celebrity influencers with millions of followers on social media, Jasmine is internationally recognized for her critically acclaimed performance in 2013's indie smash hit Transit. Since her debut in show business in 2010. Jasmine has starred in numerous independent films such as Dementia, Bonifacio: Ang Unang Panqulo, Baka Bukas, and Maledicto, to mention a few.

Jasmine Curtis is currently a contract star GMA 7 and has appeared on the network's successful series Pamilya Roces and is set to be part of the ensemble mammoth cast of the highly anticipated Descendants Of The Sun. Although it took Jasmine almost 7 years to hit mainstream films as lead actress, Cara X Jagger according to her is worth the wait.

"It's a very different kind of love story," says Jasmine. "Cara X Jagger is character-centric and though the conflict between Cara and Jagger is quite unusual, their story still represents what love is all about, which is loving someone unconditionally and moving on no matter how painful a relationship has become." Jasmine further gushes about how she will never forget her experience in filming Cara X Jagger and how excited she is to share the movie with everyone. "We have worked so hard to make Cara X Jagger an unforgettable movie. I am humbled and inspired by our team and I am all fired up to promote this movie. I hope everybody will support the love story of Cara and Jagger."

Ruru Madrid, on the other hand, is one of GMA 7's most talented homegrown artists. After catapulting to mainstream popularity via Protégé: Battle For The Big Artista Break, Ruru top billed a consistent string of GMA 7's top rating series such as Dormitoryo, Let The Love Begin, Encantadia, Alyas Robinhood, and the recently concluded TODA One I Love among many others.

Through the years, since Ruru started in the business as a neophyte 7 years ago, GMA 7 has meticulously honed and nurtured his craft as an actor who also excels in the genre of action as evident in the numerous awards rightfully given to him, such as his Outstanding Breakthrough Performance By An Actor win in the 5th Golden Screen TV Awards for his superb performance in Dormitoryo, and his Best Male Actor award, for which he tied with Dingdong Dantes, in the 31st PMPC Star Awards For Television 7 for his remarkable role in Encantadia .

Now Ruru is all set for his first leading role in the mainstream film Cara X Jagger.
"It's a dream come true," says an ecstatic Ruru. "I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I have always wanted to work with Jasmine because I truly believe that she is one of the best actresses of her generation. I am grateful for the trust that APT and Cignal Entertainment gave me and Jasmine. This is one project that I will never forget. I am very proud of Cara X Jagger."
