Chikkaness Staycation: The Peak at Canyon Woods

My mom is in town for her appointment at the US Embassy for her visa and we decided to have a quick weekend staycation. Early this year, I attended a travel expo and was able to score a great deal for a lower price at The Peak at Canyon Woods Tagaytay. It was just so perfect to cool down from the heat of summer. I booked a week earlier and good thing there was still an available room good for four to accommodate us.

We stroll around Tagaytay in the morning first and headed to Caleruega for quick nature encounter. Then, we went to Canyon Woods to check in. I forgot to bring my voucher but good thing that I sent a photocopy to them early that week and they were kind enough to accept it. So it was a hassle free check in for us.

The area is surrounded with trees and flowers. It's like you're living at the top of the hill. Feeling haciendera ang dating! There were neighboring houses, maybe from the rich people who chose to have their rest house in Canyon Woods. It has a rustic ambiance suited for a relaxing experience.

We arrived at around 4pm already and after like an hour rest, we went to the church for an anticipated mass. Our room has two queen size beds with its own balcony where we have a visibility of its outdoor pool. The room is equipped with coffee-making facility, utensils, safety box, TV,  mini refrigerator with free water and complete bathroom essentials which also includes bath robes and hangers.

The stay also includes the free use of the heated pool and Jacuzzi in the main club. Towels are available in the area so no need to bring one. I enjoyed just playing around in their artificial waterfall and unlimited swimming in the morning. Hahaha Good thing it was not crowded yet as I went there early in the morning.

The clubhouse has spa, fitness gym, and function rooms for seminars and wedding receptions.
My voucher has a P500 discount that I could use in the restaurant at the 3rd floor of the Main Club. I used it for our dinner where I got ourselves the Tagaytay's famous dish bulalo. The restaurant's ambiance may not be that impressive but it's saved by the breathtaking view of the Taal volcano outside with its surrounding pine trees.

It's so quiet at night and not ideal to go out not unless you wanted to drive to the main Tagaytay but we opted to rest already.

I began my day strolling around the area as I breath in fresh air and faced the sun with a smile. Then, we had our breakfast at the 3F of the Main Club with just a generous of selection of food good enough to fill your stomach for a long day ahead.

Before we checked out, we went to the Pavillion where we enjoyed a picture taking at the lake and team-building facilities available. There were also sports facilities for badminton, basketball, bowling and tennis but it was not our thing.

Check out my vlog below and experience Canyon Woods Tagaytay with me.
