Parokya Ni Edgar Releases 21-Track Album Entitled "Pogi Years Old"

After six years, one of the country’s longest-standing outfits from the ‘90s band explosion Parokya ni Edgar has released an all original, 21-track album Pogi Years Old during a press conference on Wednesday, October 19 at the Universal Records office.
The record is a mixture of comic relief, serious outtakes, and love bites, all with a dash of kapilyuhan, something that the band has always been known for in their career that has spanned 2 decades.

Chito Miranda, the band's frontman shared that he wrote songs for his wife Neri Naig that were included in their 9th studio album. "Wala Lang Yun" talks about his excuse when he was found out to be womanizing but he emphasized that it was before and he has changed already. In fact, he's very excited to become a dad this November where Neri is expected to deliver their first child. I won't be surprised if next time his songs will focus already on being a father and about his child which I find exciting.

He also wrote "Friendzone Mo Mukha Mo" that brought him back to his experience when he and Neri first met.

The new album contains 21 tracks – fourteen in Filipino, two in English, and five short pieces that serve as a ‘break’ between tracks. Its carrier single is the ballad “Lagi Mong Tatandaan,” whose music video has just been premiered last October 4 via music channel MYX. The record also features collaborations with Rico Blanco, Gloc-9 and Frank Magalona.
All songs were written by the band themselves, except for “Ulan” by Coco Laurente, “Beautiful Girl” by Jose Mari Chan, and “Panahon Na Naman ng Harana,” a medley which comprises of “Panahon Na Naman” by Rico Blanco, and “Harana” by Eric Yaptangco, originally included in the band’s 2nd studio album, 1997’s Buruguduystunstugudunstuy.
Pogi Years Old is released under Universal Records and is available on CD and in digital formats.
