Bela Padilla falls in love with a Japanese soldier in "Tomodatchi"

After almost a year of hiatus in making movies, Bela Padilla is back with two big movies ("Felix Manalo" whom she co-stars with Dennis Trillo and "Tomodatchi" with Jackie Woo both under the direction of Joel Lamangan).

Tomodachi (Nihonggo for friend) centralizes on the love that developed between a Japanese soldier and a Filipina during the World War 2.

She's considering this as a new experience that gave her the opportunity to work with good actors and acknowledges direk Joel for recommending her to be part of the movie. She describes Jackie Woo as  someone very easy to work with that oozes an aura of peace. Even if there's a language barrier between the two of them, she doesn't feel the difficulty because of Jackie's professionalism.

Meanwhile, check out this video on how she prepares for the shoot with direk Joel Lamangan.

Bela is also part of the teleserye FPJ's Ang Probiinsyano starring Coco Martin, Susan Roces, Maja Salvador, among others.
