"Homeless" tackles human trafficking; Ejay Falcon finds the movie difficult but fulfilling

It has always been said that one of the good traits that Filipino possess when they encounter calamities include the spirit of "bayanihan" and the drive to persevere to make their lives better. Such are just a few of the many traits that are highlighted in the upcoming film "Homeless" under the direction of Neal Tan from BG Productions International of Ms Baby Go.

This "advocacy film" highlights the lives of families of a displaced community affected by a storm who later on became victims of human trafficking in Manila. Its goal is clearly defined in the film, i.e., to be able to showcase the resilience and hope of Filipinos in striving to live a decent life.

Its main actor Ejay Falcon describes doing the movie as difficult but fulfilling. "Napakatotoo ng acting na ibinigay ko rito. Sobrang hirap din kasi physically nakapapagod siya. Kasi, iyong mga eksena namin libot kami nang libot at nakasalamuha rin namin ang mga squatters at mga homeless," he continues.

It also stars Snooky Serna, Martin del Rosario, Dimples Romana, Hayden Kho, Chokoleit, Ynna Asistio, Rico Berrera, Mico Aytona, Exekiel Jash, Ruby Ruiz, Joe Gruta, Menggi Cobarrubias, Benz Sanggalang, Jenica Mae Mores, Kei Villajin, Ermi Concepcion with the special participation of Ms Baby Go.

Don't expect special effects from this movie but its touching real-life story on its center is compelling enough for you to enjoy the film.

Some scenes in the movie were shot in Cambodia. It will be shown starting August 26 in selected theaters and will be exhibited in some schools as well.
