‘Wheels TV’ returns for revved up Season 2

Automotive show “Wheels TV” blazes into your homes via ABS-CBN Sports + Action channel with a weekly treat for car aficionados and casual TV viewers alike.

The show, known to feature helpful tips for road trips including car performance and fuel economy, amps up the adrenaline with a Season 2 premiere episode that tackles everything an enthusiast wants to know about car performance.

The episode will kick off with a three-car feature that highlights the hottest sports cars and sedans in the market. Hosted by race driver/multi sports athlete Matteo Guidicelli and a special guest, the segment puts focus on the Subaru WRX STI, the Lexus IS 350 and the Ford Mustang GT.

Another feature in the episode sheds light on the importance of brakes. Hosted by Ulysses Ang, this highly practical segment gives invaluable information to motorists that, while suspension and tires improve car performance, the brakes are an even more integral part of the car, which requires as much attention from car owners.

The episode also highlights various car-related happenings in the industry, as well as a look on fast-acting performance fuel Shell V-Power Nitro+ designed to defend against gunk and corrosion.

“Wheels TV” successfully blazed into the small screen on its first season just last March. Tackling anything and everything about the latest automobiles, the show also dispensed expert advice from respected motoring journalists Manny de los Reyes, Kap Maceda Aguila, Atty. Karen Jimeno, Ulysses Ang , Angel Rivero and returning Season 2 host Guidicelli.

Season 2 continues giving audiences a 30-minute show filled with practical tips for viewers with topics ranging from fuel efficiency to choosing modes of transportation, to turning being stuck in traffic to their advantage; and a look at a wide variety of cars covering everything from hatchbacks to subcompacts, SUV to family vans, supercars and luxury sedans.

The new season will also showcase entry-level cars and practical information on car financing; upgrading your mag wheels; and child and pet safety in cars; and going in-depth on the controversial driver-on-demand app Uber; among others; to exciting features on the sexiest exotic cars on the road today; driving the Salamander and getting to know the Rolls Royce and Bentley, two of the most expensive cars in the country today; and features on personalities like Filipino-Swiss racer Marlon Stockinger, and Audi celebrity endorser Anne Curtis; and so much more.

“Wheels TV” season premiere episode airs on ABS-CBN Sports + Action channel on July 18, Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
