INTERVIEW: Joseph Marco on "HONESTO" & The Funniest Chikka Told To Him

Last week, I had the opportunity to talk to Joseph Marco about starring in HONESTO - that premiered this week in ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida. We talked about his offbeat role in the series, his new loveteam with Melissa Ricks, the closest co-actor he has so far in the show, his reaction on his flourishing career, and on the funniest "chikka" ever told to him.  Since Joseph signed up with ABS-CBN last 2010, it's very evident that he's been blessed with good projects where he delivered unforgettable performances. He may be tagged as one of the station's favorites, but I believe that he all deserved it. Armed with good looks, dedication to his craft, and love for his fans, I'm not surprised that he's given all these breaks. He will soon appear on the big screen via Saturday Night Chills, an Ian Lore ños film for Cinema One Originals that's set to run from Nov 11-19 at Trinoma, Glorietta, and Robinson's Galleria cinemas. HONESTO is a Dream

Chikkaness Review: BEKIKANG - A Hilarious Movie That Dared To Show A Genuine Parenting Style

Get ready for laughs and tears with this latest Wenn Deramas creation that features a talented thespian, Joey Paras. Beki (Joey) acted as the parent of the Fortunato's (Tom Rodriguez) son when the latter chooses to leave for the country to work. Seven years later, Fortunato and wife Natalie (Carla Humphries) bumped into Beki again and this time, they wanted their son back already.  BEKIKANG is a hilarious movie that dared to touch the parenting style of gays - affectionate and genuinely loving who will go an extra mile to protect his child even at his personal expense. Joey Paras was able to pull it off and he truly deserve this break. He succeeded in connecting with his audience that he made me laugh and cry. The hospital scene was very unforgettable for me. I had chills watching it because of the great acting capacity that Joey provided.  Tom Rodriguez was endearing. It cannot be denied he's one of the handsome actors that we have today that can truly act and not jus

Chikkaness Review: SHE'S THE ONE - Perfect Recipe For A Great Love Story

Mae Cruz' romantic comedy She's The One stars Bea Alonzo, Dingdong Dantes and Enrique Gil as the love triangle looking for the perfect fit for their respective lives. The film opens with Cat (Bea), waking up her best friend Wacky (Dingdong), ensuring that he won't be late for his morning show. Despite that, Wacky ended up late for the show proving the impression that he's irresponsible and not serious with what he's doing. As circumstances unfold, the morning show needs reformatting that threatens Wacky's stay in the said show. He found an opportunity to save his career through a romantic viral video of a young man David (Enrique Gil) who's in search of the "girl in the rain" that happened to be Cat. He pitched in the idea of meeting the two together through the show but on the process he realized the emotional gap he's been looking for. Bea Alonzo allowed her humanity to show in her character that causes the audience to fall in

Chikkaness Review: KUNG FU DIVAS - A Narrative That's Engaging Despite The Many Action Sequences

This film is smartly made, the humor nicely translated, the leading actors (Ai Ai delas Alas and Marian Rivera) clever and appealing. Ai Ai and Marian were perfectly suited in the lead roles, playing awkward and irritated really well. There is no doubt that the two fine actresses belong to the funniest people in Philippine showbiz nowadays.  Onat Diaz did a full of laughs movie that is well put together. With its solid effects, performances, and direction, Onat proves that he knows what he's doing. The great thing about Kung Fu Divas is that the narrative stays engaging and holds together despite the many action sequences, and just when you think the film tries to stabilize down, more excitement bursts onto the screen.   The film dared to exceed expectations, in a good way, and managed to evolve from "slapstick comedy" to a "topnotch funny film." Chikkaness Review: 1st Quezon City Film Festival

GAYDAR by Alvin Yapan is not your ordinary gay movie about Tina (Pauline Luna) who erroneously fell in love to a gay man and has been skeptical already to the men she meets since her break-up with the latter. However, things changed when she met an FX driver, Richard ( Tom Rodriguez ) who initially had liking on. Just to be certain though she asked her "gay" bestfriend, Nick ( Rafael Rosell ) to investigate on Richard's sexual orientation. Unknown to Tina, Nick is in love to her. Certainly the best movie of Pauleen Luna to date complemented by riveting performances from Rafael Rosell and Tom Rodriguez. The movie was more energized with the inclusion of a singing blind band every after vital scenes. I found the movie clean from its cinematography, screenplay, and editing. The pacing was just right to make this a terrific popcorn romantic comedy. My takeaway from the movie is that at some point in our lives we turn gays when we fall in love. HELLO WORLD

Coco Martin Expresses Gratitude To Juan dela Cruz' Phenomenal Success

In the last 15 days of the country's number one primetime series Juan dela Cruz as it starts on Monday, October 7, Coco Martin will continue to amaze us with his heroic acts as he saves the world from the aswangs and himself. Excitement will just soar higher as more revelations will be coming out in the next three weeks especially from its main characters. As Peruha (Diana Zubiri) spreads its evil influence, will there be more lives sacrificed? Will it be one among Juan dela Cruz' loved ones? How will the love story of Rosario (Erich Gonzales) and Juan ends? Are we going to expect a happy ending or will it be a tragic one? In the recent presscon that Dreamscape has arranged for the bloggers last October 3, 2013 at the 14th Floor of ELJ Building, Coco was very high spirited and buoyant as he positively shares the near-ending of his series. It's not because he could rest already from the very daunting taping days but due to the fact that it will end with a high
