Chikkaness Cinephile's Guide: National Film Festival 2013 Entry "BAMBOO FLOWERS"

Award-winning master director Maryo J delos Reyes comes with another masterpiece that will surely linger in the minds of the cinephiles via BAMBOO FLOWERS. The movie tackles on the issues being faced by the youth today like bullying, child labor; and how they face life with much hope and aspiration.

Written by Aloy Adlawan, the cast includes Mylene Dizon, Max Collins, Yogo Singh, Orlando Sol, Ruru Madrid, Miggs Cuaderno, Spanky Manikan, Diva Montelaba, Barbara Miguel and Cinemalaya Best Actress Irma Adlawan.

Chikkaness' Impressions: From its trailer, the movie will be a landmark youth-centered movie that might enjoy the same recognition that delos Reyes' Magnifico has received. It's evident that the film is made with delirious compassion. I'm also seeing authentic performances from Max Collins, Mylene Dizon, Ruru Madrid and Ms Irma Adlawan.

BAMBOO FLOWERS is one of the entries in this year's Sineng Pambansa National Film Festival 2013 All-Masters Edition that will run from September 11 - 17 at all SM Cinema Branches Nationwide.
