Chikkaness Review: BOUNDARY - edgy, stirring, and a gut-wrenching expose

Director Benito Bautista fearlessly tells the fate of a taxicab driver, Limuel (Ronnie Lazaro) on one Christmas night when he had a mysterious businessman passenger, Emmanuel (Raymond Bagatsing) that he needs to drive to Antipolo. Unknown to Emmanuel, Limuel will be bringing him to a robbery gang leader, Diego (Edwin Nombre).  "Boundary" won at the Grand Jury Award for Best Narrative Feature at the 2012 Guam International Film Festival and is currently being shown at Shangri-la EDSA Cineplex until December 11.

Edgy, stirring, and a gut-wrenching expose of night crimes, "Boundary" is an outstanding moving film. It's the kind of movie that will put you on a situation asking "what's happening?" with awe as the story unfolds.

Ronnie Lazaro was perfectly casted in this movie. He filled up the frame with his magnetic eyes, persuasive voice, and raw gestures. On the other hand,  Raymond Bagatsing's deft acting adds up to this film's highly talented cast.
